This exhibition will explore the broad theme of "community" as it is expressed and manifested through the arts scene in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a community-driven nonprofit, the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto invites technically excellent works in all media that can galvanize conversation on crucial arts community questions of the day:
How has the Palo Alto arts scene changed in recent years? What constitutes our local arts community?
Which media and movements are currently thriving in Palo Alto and the Bay Area at large?
How does social connection influence and enable artistic creativity? How can the Art League model foster that growth?
How do issues of access and inclusion affect how we conceptualize "community" in the arts?
