Join local professional photographer, Tom Upton, for this one-day Photographic Composition Workshop. We’ll elevate casual camera busywork by looking at photographs that show the vernacular and language of photography. I will introduce to you many ways to make images stronger, with the building blocks of intelligent image making. This is brisk hands-on action, hunting and gathering elements that make photographs interesting. Minimal class monolog and maximal camera-work exercises to tune your eye. You will look, shoot, and review with a benevolent guide. The camera will be your instrument of observation for this day. Not resting on our laurels indoors, we will go outdoors and shoot together. Then we look at our photos. In fact, we will do this twice! Don’t worry I will have your back. So only one question remains. . . is it ART? Come and find out! Note: Please be familiar with your camera and manual and P mode. While this class is smartphone compatible, a DSLR type camera will yield best results.
