Pacific Art League

A passion for art and community since 1921

Dear Members,

I hope you are enjoying our first newsletter and finding lots of interesting and useful articles. There is so much going on this summer at Pacific Art League and I hope you will take advantage of new programs and opportunities for engaging in the arts.

Our summer camps for kids and teens are starting up next month. We offer everything from ceramics to anime (I am not sure I even know what that is). We also have youth classes starting in June in Redwood City at University Art. So even if you can’t get here to Palo Alto, your kids can still enjoy the PAL experience.

I have a very special invitation to extend to you all. My wife Elza and I hope you will join us at our Menlo Park home for an afternoon celebrating Pacific Art League’s 95 th Anniversary with wine, live music, appetizers and a light and lively discussion of opera. Dr. Kip Cranna, dramaturg of San Francisco Opera will give us the inside scoop on how opera started in the first place and show us a behind-the-scenes look at the second largest opera company in the US. This event is a benefit for PAL’s Community Engagement Programs and is $125 per person. To find out more about these programs, click here.

I hope you will join us.
