Pop Art

Pop Art is a movement in art that emerged in the 1950s and 60s as a reaction to the elitism and pretension of the art world. It's characterized by bright colors, simple and bold designs, and the use of popular culture images, such as celebrities, advertisements, and consumer products. Pop artists challenged the notion of "high art" by incorporating everyday objects and mass-produced items into their works. They sought to bring art out of the galleries and museums and into the public sphere, making it accessible to everyone. Pop art remains popular today for its bold style and commentary on consumerism, media, and celebrity culture.
